These "sketches" assist in creating the final pieces for this project. Some of the still-lifes, are rehearsed inside to work out relationships between objects before taking them outside. Since photo sessions usually take place during the first and last light of the day, the sketches allow me to fine-tune the arrangements in the short time I have before the light is wrong. Other sketches appear as I simplify the still-life. Those that become too minimal to fit in the larger body of work, become individual images.

I believe the sketches to be finished work of value, and integral to the process of producing the final still-life. More will be added as work continues. I've decided to make these images available for purchase to help fund work for the exhibit at the Figge.
