The "driftless area" covers northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, Southwest Wisconsin, and northeast Illinois. It is an area that was virtually untouched by glaciers. The topography is hilly and rocky and filled with trout streams. Unique, fragile ecosystems fill the area due to the expanses of subterranean caves and cavities. The images shown on this page are scanned prints on kozo paper. They will also be available as handmade selenium toned van dyke prints. Joining me on this collaborative project is oil and pastel artist Audrey Brown.
